I'm not taking the time to watch the link but have heard him speak on this and, no, that's not his advice to young men. Is advice in a nutshell is to get off the videogames/phones/porn, start working out, do something to improve yourself (work, school, volunteer), make it a priority to get out around people, And, yes, take the risk of asking a woman out. Know she might say no and that's ok. None of that is bad advice.

Yes, some of his stuff is raunchy and I don't like that but I suppose it makes some young men more willing to listen to him.

I most certainly do not buy everything he is selling but some of it does make sense, and I've heard him say what you paraphrased in other videos.
