Copenhagen

I have a conference in Copenhagen in March but will have a few days, and most evenings to explore.
Looking for recommendations for outdoor activities, arts and culture (fine art, ballet, music).
If anyone can recommend a jazz club where a single woman would feel comfortable going to, that would be great.

If you are there in late March, I believe Tivoli Gardens reopens. You can buy basic admission, don’t need to buy admissions to rides. I am not an amusement park person at all, but went with my children in October. I found the setting very charming for an evening, and would happily go back to stroll around. Unfortunately, my children would not have been a fit for a jazz club, so I can’t help you with that specific request. I’m hoping more people respond to your post -I would like to go back to Copenhagen with my husband, and would also love to hear what people enjoyed doing in the evening.

Are you looking to get laid by some Danish stud?

Wear a red beanie, so you look sympathetic to the Greenland situation. It’s a symbol of protest for the Danes against the USA.

Rosenborg Castle (for daytime)

Amalienborg Palaces (for daytime).

Tivoli Gardens is a wonderful and fun place. It reopens for the season March 27th. It's a great place during the evening too.

Rosenborg, the Viking exhibits in the National Museum, and yeah an evening at Tivoli. Maybe a day trip to Helsingor or over to Lund, Sweden

If you like Islamic art, the David Collection has a great collection.

A short train ride north of town is the excellent Louisiana Museum of Modern Art including a lovely outdoor sculpture garden.

In Copenhagen the small Museum of Danish Resistance was interesting.

I’m not a shopper but enjoyed wandering through one of the big department stores downtown.

If you enjoy Vikings, the national museum is interesting, but the Viking ship museum in Roskilde (20-30 minutes by train from Copenhagen —and the trains run frequently) is incredible!

I also saw another poster mention the Museum of Danish Resistance —really well done museum.

Thanks everyone. It's the OP. I will check out the museums mentioned. The conference is the 3rd week of March so I won't be able to see Tivoli Gardens.
I'll do some research on jazz clubs. Most people don't love jazz and although I'm very comfortable attending a venue with specific seating eg ballet, symphony, concert-- I'm less comfortable showing up at a jazz club solo.

Forgot to mention Roskilde - you are right, that would be the day trip I'd go for.

We took a harbor ride in November and it wasn’t too cold. Prob the same in March.
