Can other Spanish speakers recommend their playlist?

I'm listening to more Spanish music and I like the music that they play at Mexican restaurants but I'm not sure what kind of playlist they play? I'm not looking for bad Bunny type of music. I like ballads or other types of Spanish music.

Do you mean like traditional style Mexican restaurants? They often play mariachi or ranchera music. If you put Cielito Lindo and Guantanamera into your Spotify you’ll find the right kind of albums.

I often watch Mexican or South American TV shows and will listen for songs I like and then look them up to add to my listen list. That’s more contemporary pop or rock songs though.

Listen to some Carlos Vives. He’s a Colombian superstar and has some really great songs.

+1 Los Juanes
Shakira (her Spanish songs are better than her English songs, IMO)
David Bisbal
Luis Miguel
La Quinta Estación

Especially her older albums -
Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998) and Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 (2005)
