I'm struggling to find things I like in this category.
Needs: - Closed toe (for winter in a moderate, no snow climate - think 50 degree weather) - 2-3 inch heels for pants with longer hems. - Not looking for boots, looking for true 'shoes' - These are for daytime, casual, grabbing a morning coffee with friend, running to the grocery store. Not for work or dress up. The closed toe heel equivalent of a super simple slide or ballet flat. - No skinny heels, that looks too dressy - I don't want anything clunky like lug soles. I like daintier shoes. I typically like shoe shopping online, but don't like this task because (i) most sites when you narrow to "heels" you get a zillion going out dressy shoes; and (ii) I'm really not liking the styles of what I am finding. I honestly don't even know what I would like, I'm just not liking what I see. Anyone have any recommendations? |
Like a high heeled loafer? I have a pair similar to these (without the bit).
|
| You could get those in plain, not patent leather and it would look less dressy. |
| Also clogs |
| OP here, yes i am open to a more casual high heel loafer for sure. |
Please no clogs unless you are a nurse! |
OP agree with this. Also i just googled for heel loafers, and everything comes up suspiciously in shiny. You'd think there would be everyday leather or suede. This is why i keep coming up empty. |
Danskos, sure. Try traditional wood clogs . . . Sven, Swedish Hasbeens, No. 6 Store. |
| Ferragamos. |
| Op here thanks for these! I would probably like a heel closer to 3 inch, a lot of the posted ones are closer to two inch. I think going a bit taller would allow me to find something a bit more feminine and not in that “awkward” midheel height a pp mentioned. Agree the two inch heels are kind of all menswear inspired and a bit ugly. |

OP, I've been looking for the same shoe for a couple of years. I don't want to always wear sneakers for casual occasions. I don't like putting on boots.
For the summer/spring, I would like a nice closed espadrille, like the Chanel ones, without the logo, and with some height- 2+ inches, that are also comfy! I think I would like a sleeker more feminine doc marten type of shoe with some height. I'm hoping someone posts the perfect shoe here! |
