Parents who have BTDT hinted if you're too nice and appreciative, they know they can plug your DC anywhere and save the good spots/use their connections for the loudest flashiest families. Any truth to this at your school?

Because public school counselors are not very involved in school selection.

“Save the good spots” lol WTF are you talking about. Sounds like you’re already a pain in the a$$ and regardless, college counselors don’t fight for students. You need to significantly reset your expectations. Either your kid gets in or your kid doesn’t.
