Pen Fusion field status?

Does anyone know if the Pen Fusion fields are cleared for this weekend? Public DMV fields are not getting defrosted anytime soon.

Dear Penn Fusion Girls Showcase Coaches and Club Directors,

We are reaching out with an important update regarding this weekend’s Penn Fusion Girls Showcase. As with many showcase events in the region, our area has been adversely impacted by the harsh winter. We are currently assessing field conditions at our numerous venues, as well as the upcoming weather forecast for this week and weekend.

We have several premier turf fields already plowed and accessible to successfully host games this weekend.
We are assessing several facilities today/tomorrow and will provide an update no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10.
Should an age group or group(s) be impacted or cancelled we will provide clear detail including any required hotel cancellation instructions.

We continue to prepare for the event; the goal is to play as many games as possible this weekend!

Some news dropping for some teams. Apparently some are cancelled, but plenty of fields are cleared.

Penn Fusion and Sideline Soccer Solutions (S3) have made the difficult decision to cancel select divisions of the Penn Fusion Girls Winter Showcase due to field conditions impacting safe and playable competition. These decisions were made based on field playability and the ability to provide appropriate college coach exposure.



The following divisions have been cancelled:

U14: Red
U15: White, Black, Gray
U16: Black, Gray, Blue
U17: Gray, Blue, Green
U19: Blue, Green



We understand this is disappointing news. While not an easy decision, we wanted to communicate as quickly as possible so teams can adjust plans and cancel hotels or flights if needed.

Please note that follow-up communication regarding hotel-related cancellation questions will be sent once we receive additional information from our hotel provider, THS. This may take some time, and we appreciate your patience.



If Your Team Purchased Event Cancellation Coverage
Teams that added the optional coverage are eligible for a refund of their registration fees. Please file your claim using the claim link included in your insurance confirmation email from USSCI or Vertical Insure.



If Your Team Did Not Purchase Coverage
Teams without optional insurance are not eligible for reimbursement. For future events, we strongly encourage adding this coverage, as situations like this are exactly what it is designed to protect against.
