From the team behind the Capital Weather Gang

Last week was tough to watch. We are Washingtonians through and through, and like many of you the hometown newspaper has held a special place in our heart for decades.

We're still here providing around-the-clock D.C.-area weather coverage across the same platforms many of you already follow (including said newspaper). But we’re always thinking about how to better serve and connect with our audience. More to come...

If you’d like to receive updates, we welcome you to leave your email here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdm3NDIifn5oyaiA4MOlrst7jvXDBM8z_da6vuouaWGUmH0IA/viewform

In the meantime, you can find our latest forecast and updates on the web at: capitalweather.com and on social media.

Thank you for following our updates.

Thanks for all you've done for DC. I am truly sorry this is happening. What a terrible loss for the city and our country.

I’m confused? What is happening.

They're preparing exit options.

CWG did not get laid off. But if they were to leave to go independent or join another news outlet, they might be in better shape than if they stay with the Post, which is cutting way back on local coverage (foolishly)…
