Yet another ICE thread. My neighbor has multiple, I mean MULTIPLE liens on his house for avoiding taxes. I know this because he was concerned it would show up in a background check and keep him from getting a job.
Is that something ICE would use? I'm not sure if he's a naturalized citizen at this point or still here on some kind of visa. How worried should he be? |
| What a crazy question. What's really going on OP? |
LOL exactly what I posted. What's crazy about it? |
| Should be worried about not paying his taxes |
| Why is any of this your business? |
| Doesn't it sound like you "know" anything. MYOB. |
| Not something you should worry about. |
|
Shouldn't get a job if he cheats in taxes repeatedly. Should have worked out a payment plan.
|
And what’s wrong with ICE enforcing the law anyway? I have no problem with it. |
| ICE are federal workers too. |
+1. They enforce the same laws which were in place under Biden: laws passed by Congress and signed by past presidents (ie - not trump). |
What does ICE have to do with a lien on the house? |
I hope someone breaks into your house, ties you up and beats you to a pulp. Once they get tired of beating you, rib you blind and leave you with nothing. |
Due process was in place under Biden. It's definitely not being enforced by ICE. |
| Real estate taxes are typically a local/county/state issue, whereas immigration is a federal issue. I have a hard time believing ICE would notice a tax lien on a house unless they were digging. |
