DCUM Thread Quotes Not in Earlier Part of the Thread

I am going to do my best to explain this. I have noticed more than once in a DCUM thread that a poster will include a quote but that quote is not in any of the thread from the beginning.

Do some of the comments get deleted? Can you quote from some other thread? The quote will be in a blue box so presumably from somewhere else in the thread being read. But, it doesn't show up anywhere else. (There is one in a current thread about Camp Mystic but would prefer not to include it here).

Has anyone else noticed this? Any explanation? Because I am starting to doubt what I am seeing.

Sometimes a post gets reported and deleted, but others have already quoted it, and those don't get noticed by the moderator.
