ISO Toxic-Free & XL Air Fryer

Hi. I am currently looking for a toxic-free XL air fryer with a big capacity. There are so many options online that I don't know which one to choose. If you are using one and are happy with it, I would appreciate the recommendation. Also, if there are any models you didn't like or had a bad experience with, please share that too. I have been very pleased with our Instant Pot vortex plus air fryer. We use it so much that I bought a second one.

What makes it toxic? Mine is like a toaster oven and I don't go above 375 deg

What makes an air fryer toxic are the chemicals and substances from coatings. They can leach into food and release fumes when overheated.

Yes. Just use your oven and stove like a normal person.

That is still teflon coated.

Has anyone tried the ones that are all glass or stainless? Do they crisp as well? We mostly use for tater tots, fries, roasting veggies.

I just bought a GE microwave that has an air fryer function. I’ll report back once I try it out.

I use a stainless steel/glass air fryer lid for my instant pot. No toxic nonstick finishes. It’s not large, though, although I think you could layer baskets for multiple levels.

The oven does not crisp up or work as fast as an air fryer.

The pan tray, which I have misplaced, might be non-stick. I never used it. I just use the wire mesh tray and parchment if necessary.

Yes, it does crisp up things. You usually need to double suggested cooking times to get crispy. That said, it still doesn't crisp up pizza crust. A quick sear on a hot pan fixes that.

We have a ninja air fryer that's like a toaster oven. It's just a mini convection oven so we use all of our regular non toxic trays and pans
