Is it possible to take your kid to a frat party when visiting colleges? Would it help if you were an alumni or legacy?

If they know an older kid there then sure. An adult at a frat party if it is not parents weekend or a football game weekend would be weird…

Only if you are paying for the party. And even then, no.

OMG. Cringy.

At a few schools, I teased DD about doing this. She was absolutely mortified by the idea … rightly so!!

If it's parent's weekend and your son is in that fraternity and parents are in fact invited. Then yes. Otherwise, please don't.

We are visiting UVa this weekend. Does anyone have tips for attending a frat party?

Wear shoes you don’t mind getting trashed. They’ll get beer spilled on them, possibly puke.
