| Besides Paris, hich cities are worth visiting with high school senior daughter? Not sure if southern France is too cold in late March? Which are is fun for teens? |
| French person here: All of France is cold, grey, and rainy in late March. |
| Skiing? |
| Amsterdam (yes I know itβs not France) |
Nice is pretty nice in March! π |

How long are you going? Don't underestimate how much there is to do in Paris and close by. I'd stay in Paris the entire time and do a day trip to Versailles and one to Chartres.
|
| Paris is wonderful even gold and gray. |
| I visited Paris last spring break (the week before Easter, so it was end of March into the first week of April). The weather was perfect β breezy but not too chilly, and lots of sunshine. Maybe that was an anomaly, but it was lovely! |
| We did spring break in France a couple years ago. Our pace may have been a bit too intense for some here, but we did 3 nights (four days) in Paris, and then drove to Normandy, stopping at Monet's Giverny en route to Honfleur, where we spent a night. Loved the place we stayed, an old convent and a place that's recced by Rick Steves. Just stayed long enough to walk around town in the afternoon and early morning, then we headed to Bayeux for the Tapestry (which I think has gone to England for a stay). Got up early in the morning and drove to a couple D-Day sites before turning to the Loire Valley and basing ourselves in Amboise and hitting a few chateau, mainly Chenonceau. We had glorious, sunny weather. |
| Skiing. Fly into Geneva. The Alps are amazing in late March. Stop at Annecy - so magical. Go to Tignes, Val d'Isere, or Chamonix/Courmayeur (Italy). |
| The Riviera may not be hot, but it's sunny and in the 60's during the day. Provence will be cool, but often sunny and beautiful. Or, just embrace the cold and do Paris and an alpine town - so beautiful. |
| We went one year and it was very cold and windy. And I thought it was very dirty. I went in the 80's and so much has changed. |
Where? Paris? Or France in general? |
It's getting to the end of the season though- could be amazing, could not be. Unless OP and her daughter are specifically looking to ski I wouldn't go out of my way for this. JMO. We went to Paris and Normandy at this time last year and it was great! Like another PP said we had really lovely weather, even if Normandy was on the chilly/windy side. We ran out of time to head south but that's what I'd do if we went back in the spring again. |
Paris. |
