I am bringing a cookie platter to a dinner party next weekend, and the cookies need to be small given how heavy the meal will be. No chocolate either given the other desserts assigned. I am thinking of making lemon ricotta cookies people have posted and ginger shortbread. Any other ideas with recipe?

You could do one recipe with multiple variations. Like this slice and bake butter cookies.

I'd make an apricot almond rugelach. You can freeze the shaped cookies and bake the day you need them, which is handy

These peanut butter cookies from Sally’s:

I'd probably do lemon bars and raspberry and/or apriciot linzers.
Meringues? Macaroons?
Snickerdoodles
I love this, especially small bite size. I need about 50/50 proportion with jam so that would be divine. I love jam squares too but those are too hard to cut small. |

Italian wedding cookies
Linzer cookies
I haven't made these so I don't have a recipe, but little pignoli cookies would be a nice addition to a cookie platter. They are different enough from the other 2 kinds you are making.
