ISO great pediatrician for kid with asthma

My child was recently diagnosed with asthma, and we need to switch pediatricians. Does anyone with an asthmatic child have a particularly good experience with a pediatrician? Any recommendations would be appreciated. We're considering CMA of Alexandria.

I think it's more important to have a great pulmonologist when you have an asthma flair-up. We go to The Pediatric Lung Center in FFX- all of the specialists are excellent.

How old is your child and what are his/her symptoms? I have a 3 year old with mild asthma... he wheezes with some colds, not all. We treat every cough with Xopenex and so far so good. He's been on steroids twice, once at 1 1/2 years and once at 2 1/2 years. Hoping for a steroid free year!
