Finally getting rid of OG materials

Anonymous
I’m finally getting rid of our All About Reading and Wilson system materials. It’s hard! I don’t know why it’s hard. Maybe because it represents such hard work and all the concerns and unknowns we had back then. DH and I didn’t even work with the materials ourselves. We hired tutors. I don’t know why but getting them out of the house feels emotional.

But, really, my DS is 16 and is doing fine. It’s crazy to have the stuff just sitting in my office.

That is all.

That makes sense!

Hopefully you find another family in your neighborhood who will appreciate them. That always makes it easier for me to let go of things.

I hear you, OP! My DC is still holding on to her materials, even though she has not used her workbooks in a couple of years. I was going to try to donate them this year, but they obviously have some sort of emotional value for her, so we just keep them in the corner of her room.
