nice but not fine jewelry

Anonymous
I’m looking to add some pieces to my jewelry collection- not fine jewelry, but “nice costume.” I’d appreciate suggestions for designers to look at. I don’t want David Yurman nor do I want to shop at places like Gorjana, Catbird because in all cases, I’d like something not quite so ubiquitous nor overly
obvious (yurman pieces). Thanks.

Try Shopbop. They carry several brands/designers at many different price points. You can get an idea of what appeals to you and take your search from there.

Also ABC Home & Carpet has a fantastic jewelry selection that focuses on artisan-made pieces. Most of it is very expensive fine jewelry, but there are some more reasonably-priced items. It's another source to find designers you can look into:

Just adding that I like this designer that I discovered at ABC: https://scosha.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorJfMCYRQvQnB6Mzzvw9IcPYFSLBD_2fWfdjmzDCpz4nlwsIkza

And this store is in my neighborhood . . . the owner is lovely, and she has a great selection of artisan jewelry in a range of prices: https://www.poetryofmaterialthings.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoq5ZYMsRuGdC0snB2rDu62tlmpHUeI0DxApFxGT96NKDoheP_0e

I got bridesmaids gifts for my DD's wedding from the website linked below. Shipping takes around a 3-4 weeks.

I think you should just get fine jewelry. I have a local artist and we design stuff together. It's not that expensive. I few thousand dollars. Just save till you get what you really want.

Some of my favorite pieces are from ABC Home & Carpet. Shopping in person is the best, but online is pretty good too. Even their inexpensive pieces have been great quality.

Lately I’ve been adding colorful costume pieces to complement my fine jewelry collection. This is a new direction for me, and it really has revitalized my jewelry game. My two go-to sources have been:

https://lizziefortunato.com/

https://roxanneassoulin.com/

I like Lizzie Fortunato for necklaces and earrings and Roxanne Assoulin for bracelets. I have some like this, and they add a great pop of color, life and energy to whatever I’m wearing:

You can find titanium or gold fill jewelry that doesn’t tarnish.
