Seven Locks ES - demolished?

Was passing by today and saw that the school building was demolished. We were considering the neighborhood for moving in. Now not so sure... Does anybody know if it is going to be rebuilt and if not, where do the kids from the area go now?

Don't know where those kids are going right now but yes, they are rebuilding the school. I think it's supposed to reopen in 12-18 months. This is a great area.

Yes, it's being rebuilt with a higher capacity and shift in boundaries. Until the project is done, Seven Locks ES is at Radnor Center, a holding school in Bethesda.

OP here: thank you everybody. I thought that was probably the case. To the PP or anybody who might know: do you have any information on how will the boundaries change?
I've heard that that part of Seven Locks gets quite congested during rush hours... If the school will include a bigger area, it might possibly make the traffic even worse.

Since rush hour runs from 7-9 am and 5-7 pr, the congestion on seven locks has very little to do with the school. The congestion is still there. Many people use seven locks to avoid traffic on 270 especially when there is an accident. The morning backups also have to do with Mater Dei which does not have a police officer to direct traffic in and out of the school which causes people who are going in or out of the school to hold traffic for others so they can get in or out.

The boundaries have already changed effective this year. Just search Seven Locks on the MoCo school web site.

Seven Locks is a great school with very active parents.
