| Just wondering if I can bank on a tournament being cancelled. |
| Should be open on the Feb 14 weekend if the weather forecast holds |
| Presidents Day weekend more often has snow than not. I only know this because it’s my birthday weekend and as a kid my parents plan parties weeks after due to possible snow cancellations. Wouldn’t hold my breath for that weekend. |
| Don't look now, but they are talking about potential snow next weekend too... |
| Unless they remove snow from the fields, it's not happening. Counties won't do it and won't let you. Private facilities have probably already cleared it before the freeze. |
| What county? |
This was not a simple "remove before the freeze" storm. Our PA facility that always plows just cleared a couple fields on Wed. |
| I have no inside knowledge but looking at forecast I've very skeptical Fairfax & Loudon fields will be cleared by 2/14 weekend and am not even confident about 2/21 weekend. But who knows? |
| Where are all the coaches and directors who are all about soccer, development, and winning? Aren’t they willing to have the fields cleared? Oh wait, they may have to write a check for that to happen. |
Counties won’t let clubs clear public fields. |
| Fake news. |
Which PA facility? Wondering about Penn Fusion next weekend. |
| Every serious club needs to invest in few field houses with all the $$ they get from families instead of relying on weather. These field houses can also be useful is summer months (thunderstorms and what not). |
Clubs using county fields have no incentive to build their own facilities, it increases their overhead costs. Clubs arent losing money by not practicing. You pay by the season, not by the number of practices. |
Proving Grounds - but USTC (where most PF stuff is) has a dome and I believe cleared theirs as well. |
