G. Daniela Galarza of The Washington Post no longer writing the Eat Voraciously newsletter?

Anonymous
Does anyone know why or what happened? It seems somewhat abrupt that she is saying today is her last column. I do not mean to pry, and I certainly do not want to sound gossipy as I really do not intend to be, but I have enjoyed receiving and reading Eat Voraciously for some time now. I also am one of those people who dislike change!

Did you miss the news about the layoffs? The Post is dead. Bezos killed it.

OP here. I did miss the news of layoffs. Obviously, I only pay attention to certain non-news newsletters.

NYT headline says more than 300 journalists laid off from the Post; changes include cutting Sports, cutting Books (I find that one particularly ironic) and shrinking Metro.

Even 30 years ago, Metro really just focused on DC even though most subscribers lives and worked in VA/MD.

The Post food section has been one of the best in the country for many years. Such a sad thing to watch.

It’s incredibly sad. Why did Bezos buy the post if he just wanted to kill it
