They said week of Aug 17 (per diocese guidelines) but exact day tbd. Why?? Why is this such a grueling, difficult decision that takes weeks/months to deliberate and agonize over?
Pick a day already and let people plan camps/vacations. |
Any word yet on when they're going to be publishing the first-week honor roll? |
| Omg, stahp already!!! |

I heard that they are thinking the Thursday of that week. So, the 20th.
But this is through the grapevine. |

My understanding is that each diocesan school makes its own calendar, but then submits it to the diocese for approval. They can't communicate it until the diocese approves.
So your school likely knows what they would like to be the first day, and what they have submitted, but it likely has not been approved yet. Breathe through it. You'll hear when you hear, and you'll survive til then. |
| Don’t do a camp for anytime that week or later. Plan your vacay to arrive home by the 17th. Tada! |
|
I’m sure that the diocese (ie, the First Estate) must conduct an extensive and detailed analysis of the proposed first day, which may require weeks of deliberation and analysis and iteration by AI and prayer. So be patient.
Eventually, they’ll let the Third Estate know their decision. |
Or just skip the first 3 days of school. They’re useless. Kids will learn more on vacation. |
You’ll never make the coveted honor roll with that attitude. |

| When does the sportsball pre-season training camp start? |
| Why are y’all so weird and sour? |
You mean the HSA? |
It is not odd for a school’s parent association to know a rough or draft schedule. They are responsible for several beginning of the school year activities. I have no connection to st. Mary’s. Why are you so bothered by the idea of a parent association? |
OP is notorious. |
