Our hosts are adamant we bring nothing but ourselves, but that’s hard for me to do. I figure a small box of really nice chocolates won’t offend.
Any ideas in MoCo? I know Balducci’s has some good sweets but hoping for some suggestions. I remember there was a good chocolate shop in the Kentlands, but they seem to have closed. Thank you. |

| Velati’s in Bethesda |
| Bethesda Chocolates |
Bethesda Chocolates is terrific. There is also a Neuhaus in Bethesda. I'm not a fan of Velatis - small, poor selection, very expensive, and not as delicious as the other two, in my opinion. |
| Nice idea. |
| Yes to Neuhaus! |
+1 for Velati’s. The chocolate covered toffee is especially wonderful. I haven’t tried the truffles. Their sugary caramels are delicious. For a dinner party I’d probably get a mixed selection of their sugary caramels. |
| Many people on diets. Can they have chocolates? Check if you can. |
| Love Laderach! |
It’s an easy thing to regift if they don’t eat it. I was sugar free for a long while. If I got something like this as a gift I would thank them graciously and take it and then take it to work or regift. |
