Concerned about my DD getting inappropriate messages from Sabrina Carpenter awful Grammy performance

Anonymous
DD 15 saw the Grammys last night and in the morning was raving about Sabrina Carpenter’s performance. So I watched it on YouTube; BIG mistake. It’s really inappropriate, I support women being sex positive and empowered but this is a lot for me. I asked my daughter what she liked about the performance specifically and she said the outfit. Well I would not feel comfortable with my daughter “liking an outfit” that is so blatantly inappropriate! What should I do to ensure that she doesn’t get the wrong idea from the scenario?

Why exactly is this worrying to you, OP?

Troll. I think.

Isn't that the fun of being a teenager? You like the things your parents dont' like and you push boundaries and buttons?

Um. No?

Sabrina Carpenters outfit was not too bad. From the grammys, would you rather your DD dress like Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, or Addison Rae?

Dear Lord. You're only waking up now?
You fully deserve what you get, OP.

A lot of women singers have trended that way for years. They sell sex, in the guise of "female empowerment". Lyrics, outfits, dances, it all goes one way. Their audience is men, not just women. They know full well which way their bread is buttered.

Educate your child about where the money is in pop music. Otherwise you'll have OnlyFans to deal with next.

Um, female performers dressing and acting suggestively on stage has been happening for 40+ years. Imagine what our parents thought of Madonna writhing around in a wedding dress singing Like A Virgin or Britney Spears and the snake?. It’s pop culture. You can try to shelter her. Good luck with that.

OP has probably never heard of Madonna or Britney Spears.

Start by not thinking it’s Sabrina Carpenter’s job to raise your kid.

+1

A troll who is against sex-positivity and ultimately opposed to feminism.

Leave Sabrina alone!

Maybe the parents were right. Look at them now, both train wrecks.

Nothing says feminism like dressing like a ho to appeal to the sexual desire of men. Girl power. Sabrina is a feminist icon and if you think otherwise then you’re simply a frigid hag.
