Daycare nightmare / Childcare needed -- unexpectedly

Anonymous
Hi all -- first time posting and sorry in advance if I'm doing it wrong. I am very unexpectedly looking for new full-time childcare for my 8-month old daughter. She is currently enrolled in a daycare center and for reasons that I will post about separately, we are very likely pulling her out of it with no back-up options or family nearby, which should give you a sense of how unexpected, emergent and unpleasant this situation is. We are reaching out to every daycare close to us, but as is unsurprising to everyone here, there are waitlists everywhere. We are open to licensed in-home daycares and nanny shares (I will post there too). Does anyone happen to know of any daycare facilities, in-home daycares in Northeast or Eastern NW with infant openings right now (Edgewood, Brookland, Noma, Bloomingdale, would be ideal but beggars can't be choosers)?

Beggars should be choosers if something happened at the current daycare which caused you to pull her immediately. Have you looked into nannying services?

I'm in Columbia Heights, so not super near you, but I've heard good things about the Easter Seals at Girard and 13th and Creative Minds near 13th and Florida.
