Is the earliest that we will return to work on Wednesday morning? There doesn't seem to be as much news coverage this time around. No commentary please.

Johnson claims to have enough votes to get this thing passed on Tuesday. Whether that is true remains to be seen but that is the latest news on this.

I think it will be very long. Many Democrats seem to have backed off the deal that Schumer negotiated.

(Republicans have the majority. Pelosi managed to get stuff passed with a similar razor-thin majority. Current Squeaker is no Pelosi, but there will be death threats from the White House so they'll get enough votes).

I think they can only lose like 1 vote. It seems hard to believe he can get the vote because the initial deal, while having a strong bipartisan majority, wasn't unanimous among the Rs.

It sounds like the vote will be on Tuesday. But if it’s early enough and Trump signs it, yup, that sounds like it’ll be back to work on Tuesday. Maybe agencies have their own guidance.

I dont see any chance of them voting and Trump signing with enough time for people to get to work tomorrow. Also, last I read the vote was sometime late tomorrow afternoon.

The Speaker has the votes, so this ends tomorrow. Maybe it won’t get done until later in the day, such that another day of shutdown can be eked out.
