Would this pizza concoction be a bad idea?

I made a little too much meat sauce. I make pizza at home using naan, tomato sauce and mozzarella. I could put the meat sauce on the pizza right? Nothing would go wrong with that? I hate throwing out food/wasting money.

Sure but you can also freeze meat sauce quite easily.

You can use it for pizza, although I prefer pizza sauce thicker than what I use on pasta.

If it’s enough to use on a future pasta dish, I would freeze it.

It has always confused me why so many folks need a very specific 'pizza sauce' for pizza, when there are many different kinds of pasta sauce type sauces that will work fine.

I think this would be good. Go for it.

Pizza sauce has a different flavor profile than marinara or other red sauces. More oregano for one thing.

It's VERY little. Not sure it'll even cover one naan.

OP with an update: it was great! Super flavorful and filling. Had I not burned the bottom, it would have been totally perfect.

Agree. I don’t want a soupy pizza.

I made a pizza sauce with Rhubarb in it. Quite good.
