Best summer camp for a beginner

Anonymous
12-year-old DD is interested in trying out volleyball however plays a different sport year round which does not allow her time to try rec volleyball out during the spring season. Is there a camp that others would recommend that your kids enjoyed as a beginner to the sport? Anywhere in McLean, Arlington, Falls Church would be accessible for us. TIA for any/all recommendations!

We liked the one run by Virginia United at Bidhop O Connell.

DD really liked the summer clinics by Mojo and VA Elite when she was starting. They were both upbeat and positive. They might have camps too, but she always came home happy from those clinics.

Any leads for a Maryland girl in the same predicament. 12 years old, different competitive sport during the year, would like to play for her school team in 7th grade.

Depends on where you are located. There are rec programs in both Howard and Montgomery counties that will teach the basics. My DD liked the MD juniors camp she attended when she was a beginner but that gym doesn’t have a/c. CVA also has a good beginner camp. If in Montgomery, Metro, MVSA, Moco clubs all have good camps.
