| Are your kids more interested in dating now that college apps are submitted and some are already in to their ED or REA/EA schools? |
It depends on kid to kid. Some kids are dating before college apps are submitted. It has no connection with college apps submitted or not. |
| Mine is in first relationship ever since apps submitted. |
| Funny, I think this is true. my oldest son got his first girlfriend right around the time of graduation and through the summer, and it lasted into freshman year, and I think primarily because they knew they could always break up because they were going to different schools. Actually it kind of made things less stressful because they weren’t gonna be around to see each other all the time if they were not seniors/ college students. |
| Mine was in a relationship from mid-9th grade to end of senior year! |
| Mine is just trying to hook up. He doesn't see the point of getting into a serious relationship right before he heads off to college, and I can't say I disagree. |
Hearing that's been common among boys. |
| My boys are so addicted to video games. They don't date. I even saw the girl next door throw herself at my youngest and he didn't notice. So weird to me |
| Yep, my DS started dating someone the week in December when they both got in ED. They’re actually going to the same school so hoping they can stay friends whatever happens. |
| I think kids are thinking ahead to prom and the desire to lock in a date. That's what happened among my dd peer group last year. Kids paired up beginning in january. Also, kids are out at parties more because parents become more permissive as hs is almost done, kids are turning 18, etc. |
Yep agree |
OMFG, I think you might be right. |
What about the girls? Are they also looking to just hook up? If not then who are the boys hooking up with? Each other? |
| Sure, until they need to start studying for the AP exams. So, in a few weeks... |
Who studies for AP exams Senior year? |
