I can’t be bothered to buy anything anymore!

For awhile there we had the best of both worlds. Brick and mortar AND online shopping. Now it’s gotten to the point there’s nothing in the physical stores and the online options are so numerous and varied that it’s just too much. Hard to know what’s legit and not. Returns are difficult and policies aren’t consistent. Just kind of over it all. Whenever I think of looking for new clothes or really anything else, I’m like meh, why bother with any of it. Anyone else?

Pool membership notices were sent out time to get that suit ready and try getting it online is a PITA. Virtual reality for the win. You can swim from the comfort of your own bed in your PJs?

I agree. So much of what is out there is just crap. I am trying really hard not to order clothes online - they almost never work for me. I am focusing on repairing and tailoring the clothes that I already have so I don't have to buy as much. Unfortunately, I have gained weight over the past year so I needed to replace several pairs of pants.

I started buying online when I was plus size and stores just stopped carrying my size. Shop online, they said. Free shipping, free returns.

Now I’m a size 8, and stores still aren’t carrying my size half the time. Buy online, they say. $10 shipping, in store returns only.

I have better luck finding what I’m looking for at thrift store on a random Tuesday than a Kohl’s anymore. Guess who’s getting my money.

Bonus is i spend a lot less l=money and buy a lot less crap that i don't need. Not a bad thing.

Ok. Thanks for letting us know.

Lately a lot of what I would like to buy online is final sale, so no returns. But there aren’t physical stores anymore, or they don’t carry the sale stuff to try it on. So frustrating.

I don't buy new clothes anymore either OP. Stores are awful and I don't want to go through all the work of figuring out online brands, sizing, returns. Unless you're really into like a hobby it sounds awful. I have been shopping my closet and wearing a lot of old stuff.

I love online shopping - I have my favorite stores, know my size, read reviews, etc. Are you elderly or not very tech savvy that you can't navigate your way around the internet?

Wow. You are certainly welcome to enjoy online shopping but your mean and rude comment says a lot about you as a person.

OP, I agree with you. I do order online, but only stores I am familiar with and can return in person to. But I also don't need that many new clothes as I am 45 and have a full wardrobe, so it's just filling in as needed.

Physical stores are only enjoyable when you aren’t looking for anything. When you can just go in and see what they have and come out with your random impulse buy of the day. If I actually need something, like jeans, a coat, or a specific pair of shoes, stores are a nightmare. They don’t have the selection.

I actually love online shopping too. Of course going to the store is preferred, but the stores that sell clothes I like aren't necessarily close by.

If I have a brand I know well, I can often buy their items without needing to try it on and it fits perfectly.

I lost a lot of weight and just cannot get nice dress slacks. I've tried online and they're all spandex. I'm going to head to Tysons. Nordstrom Rack failed me. I'd just like some nice wool pants.
