| Do you all buy these books at these ridiculous prices? I remember paying $25-$30 in ES. My kid is in the Yearbook club and wants it but these prices seem outrageous. |
Yeah that's crazy. At our MS, it's like $25 but the "yearbook" is a softcover thing. We haven't seen it advertised yet but I think last year there was the option to order a hardcover if you wanted, and those were like in the $35-45 range I think. |
Is it a soft cover or hard cover? That's expensive for a soft cover, but it could also be a fundraiser for the school too. |
Hard cover |
| Op again. I don't see the option for a soft cover |
| Everything is more expensive. Hello, inflation. |
PP here, I was curious so I went back to the emails from last year about yearbook sales. It was $25 for soft cover and $30 for hardcover. Company was www.buytheyearbook.com. Full disclosure, we are in a magnet program and outside of the magnet, there is a pretty high FARMS rate. I can't imagine our school ever requiring that much $ for a yearbook. Even for families who can afford it easily, that's a lot of money when it's not even a high school yearbook. |
| Who wants a middle school yearbook? |
| And when you get to high school, it’s $100. Brace yourself. |
| Our MS yearbook last year was like 75 dollars |
I am currently looking at a shelf in my office that has all my middle school yearbooks from 1996-1998. They are fun to have |
| Just buy one senior year in HS |
My kids do! We also have elementary school yearbooks which are fun to look at now. But these are all softcover books that were pretty inexpensive. |
| They were $70 when I was in middle school 20 years ago, so seems like a decent deal. |
They are fundraisers for the principals slush fund. The principal sets the price. |
