Spanish learning from PK to elementary

Anonymous
Would love to hear school decision experience from families who prioritized Spanish from the preschool years into elementary, or maybe started in elementary (not PK). Especially for families who live in Capitol Hill area.

It seems like DC does have options for Spanish but I’m not getting a good sense yet of full menu of options (for preschool, for elementary) and which schools are actually good (subjective, I know). We’re in-bounds for Maury, which many people rave about as a school but isn’t a bilingual school and I really wish it were. The ones in NW might be a long shot in terms of both the lottery and commute.

We aren’t sure how much longer we’ll be in DC. We love where we are but we’d be willing to move out elsewhere, including out of state, for better jobs. So want to consider let’s say PK-5th at least and it’s 50/50 up in the air where else might be options later on…
