DC suspends sidewalk cleaning requirement

Due to heavy icey conditions.
Inspectors were out but they have now suspended the requirement. Other jurisdictions? Bowser will have a press conference at 5pm today.

Low income housing apartments think their residents aren't going to do anything when management doesn't shovel walking paths and parking lots. They may want to rethink that tho media is coming.

They had extended to within 48hrs from end of storm. In mcps thread, it was reported they are pausing enforcement of clearing sidewalks until next Monday.

Since homeowners no longer have a duty to clear the sidewalk, you can't sue for their negligence. Further, the sidewalk is public property.
