Stop referring to them as MAGA!

It’s time to get back to calling all of them Republicans.

Republicans don’t just get to wash the stench off because they claim they’re not like MAGA. Don’t acknowledge or believe them when they say, but we’re the reasonable Republicans who really hate this. They are ALL culpable!

Don’t list a damn one of them as being reasonable republicans. Don’t make excuses for them. They are pathological liars who support the mainstream MAGA movement. More than half proudly identify as such (up from 38% in 2023). The rest won’t ever admit it.

MAGA is not on the ballots. Republicans are!

And like rats fleeing a sinking ship, so shall they.

This. MAGA took over the GOP and MAGA bears little in common with the real Republican party. It is MAGA that that is the Rino. But, I do agree, people like Cruz, Hawley, Grassley, Graham and others have crossed over and should not be welcomed back.

Agree with OP. I always say "Republicans" or "GOP." Especially because even the supposedly "non-MAGA" Republicans, like Susan Collins and Thom Tillis, still capitulate to Trump all the time. They agree with him on a ton and then won't even stand up to him on the 5% of stuff they dislike. So there's no difference.

It's a corrupt party.

We tried with all the name calling, deplorables, MAGA, and all failed. Good idea to refer to them as old fashion republicans.

I see what you mean, OP. To me MAGA is anyone who voted for Trump in 2024 instead of renouncing him. But I can call them the GOP, sure... It puts the onus back on the Republican Party to clean itself up.

That is fine. then they need to acknowledge that MAGA has fully subsumed the republican party and leave it. That is what Liz Cheney, Adam Kintzinger and others have done. Leave and regroup and form something else. The Lincoln Party, The American Conservative Party, whatever. As long as MAGA is here and there are "traditional" GOP going along with it from a policy, political and budgetary standpoint, they are all one and the same.

My husband was a Trump Supporter all three years.. I voted Trump this last term (usually an Independent/Libertarian), just cause he did, and so did our Gen Z sons. My husband now detests Trump, I never liked him.

This is just not true. MAGA is the inevitable conclusion if you follow most "conservative values" to their conclusion. Mainstream republicans just used to cloak their despicable beliefs in a polite facade. Republicans have always been fearful hateful selfish people who lie.
