| Best place to shop online? Thanks! |
| Neiman Marcus |
| How expensive? |
| Rue La La |
Doesn’t matter. Looking for best fit and quality. Up to $1000 |
For a teenager to wear for one night. Gotcha. |
| Rent a designer gown. More bang for your buck. |
Try V Chapman's site and/or stores that carry that brand. It really depends on what your DD is looking for, but we learned when we were looking that there isn't much of a niche for quality prom dresses. Most of the higher end formal wear is marketed to older women, who generally eschew the prom aesthetic. We got DD's dress from Needle & Thread---it was beautiful, but it's a more romantic and low-key look that won't appeal to teens looking for glitz and glam. https://us.needleandthread.com/collections/evening-dresses?tw_source=google&tw_adid=782922514971&tw_campaign=21143145265&tw_kwdid=kwd-156062137&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21143145265&gbraid=0AAAAADgmke1RdQUqiHuwIFB64WYtRKXqi&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4eHLBhCzARIsAJ2NZoIc8MSqFjoriNZuF-ERhqkklNLypy1X1qFyGCpbE_Hz3qNJvAaipvAaAsdaEALw_wcB |
| I would rent, since it is just one night, but otherwise I would look at neiman marcus or find one you like and see if its on ebay or the real real. |
Yuck no |
| OP go to Revolve find a dress |
| You have to find an upscale bridal and formal store and find the gowns in person. That’s the only way to get something truly unique. Jovani, Terani, Sherri Hill all are nice brands. |
| Is this written by a HS student? Because I can think of no reasonable parent, no matter how wealthy, who would actively search for an expensive prom dress. And if you have the money to throw away for a dress you'll wear for prom, consider Rent the Runway and make a donation to a food bank. |
| That needle and thread site looked like a tradwife store. |
It's a British label that Princess Kate wears sometimes. |
