Snow boots for small feet

Anonymous
Looking for snow boots for my daughter, who will be in NYC next year for college. I know people say to have her pick them out but she's just as clueless as I am. The issue is that she has small feet- usually wears kids' sizes (2.5 or 3) or is a women's 4.5 or 5.

I looked at Blundstone and they don't have that size or kids' sizes. Any other recommendations that aren't obviously too kiddie-ish?

I’m a size 5 and wear Sorel and LLBean lined boots. I bought Blundstones in the smallest size and wear thickest socks.

My 60 year old friend has tiny feet and shops in the kids' section rather often. What's wrong with children's snowboots? Some are great quality.

Columbia boots are nice and very functional.

Columbia? Tip Top on 72nd Street between Broadway and Columbus will have a great selection of boots, and the salespeople are really helpful. They also have a children's store on the same block. It's a quick walk from the 72nd Street stop on the 1 line.

Check out Jean Wang on Instagram. She’s barely 5 feet tall and lives in Boston - fashion influencer with a focus on petite sizing. She often buys herself kids sizes for shoes, including winter boots.

La canadienne comes in 5 and runs small. They’re great for a dressier pair of boots you can still wear through a slush puddle.

+1 and cheaper, too.

I wear a women size 6, but sometimes will look for youth size 4 shoes for things like sneakers because they are cheaper.

Another blogger who is under 5 feet tall and has size 5 feet is Pumps and Pushups. She did a post on boots in size 5:

OP, Blundstone makes kids sizes. As does Doc Martens, which make similar Chelsea boots, some that are shearling lined.

Blundstones would be perfect. They have kid sizes.

OP here. Nothing is wrong with kids' sizes! DD currently has multiple pairs of shoes in youth sizes plus some coats. I think she is looking for item that are less kid-like in appearance and perhaps a little more sophisticated.
