gel/leave in conditioner for teenage boy

My DS has nice wavy thick dark hair. Kind of like Jacob Frey's. It gets a little out of control and fluffy.

What kind of hair product do boys/men use that isn't too slicky or greasy or stiff. Frey must use something to tame it.

Recommendations?
