Why is DCPS the LAST district in the DMV to announce for tomorrow?

Title says it all--everyone else is closed for tomorrow in the area. And yes that includes those that were having no students tomorrow. Complete lack of consideration for its teachers/staff by DCPS and more so the district of columbia government since they're the ones who make the call. Do they really think they're going to be open tomorrow?? Infuriating.

Yeah they literally told us on Friday to bring home devices but still plan on in person Monday unless they tell us otherwise. The news is saying we are virtual but DCPS hasn’t made an official notification last I checked.

Apparently central office knew it would be virtual tomorrow when they sent the email Friday. Why they couldn’t inform staff is strange to me. I don’t totally understand their choices.

The district receives Mayor's orders. This is why there are always delays.

Always a chance it wouldn’t snow or that it be much lighter than the forecast.
