Episcopal church on red line?

My cousin is at UMD and is looking for an episcopal church with an active young adult program that’s metro accessible. Any ideas?

DOn't know about young adult programs, but St Marks Capitol Hill and St Columba's (Tenleytown) are both near metros.

St Columba’s looks more family oriented and less young adult. St Mark’s looks perfect but it’s not on the red line, making it a hard schlep on Sunday morning. Any other ideas? Please help, DCUM Episcopalians!!

What about St. Andrew’s which is two blocks off campus.

Also why would you want red line when UMD is green line?

OP said metro, not red line. St Marks is near a metro stop, but if you start on the red line, you'll have to transfer.

Church of the Epiphany is very close to metro center.

Correct. I've only been there for concerts. It has wonderful acoustics and is lovely inside

They could try St John’s Lafayette by the White House. They have a young adult group:

St Andrew's right near campus seems like the obvious choice. Is there something about their student group that she doesn't like?

The Humble Walk is the "lutherpalian" student outreach that's a joint project between the Lutheran church and the Episcopalian church on campus.

The title is literally "Episcopal Church on the red line."

Op here. I’m not from DC! Sounds like it should be a church on the green line! My cousin wasn’t thrilled with St Andrew’s—am
not sure. Maybe it’s more undergrads? Cousin is in mid-20s!
Sorry for the confusion and I appreciate any ideas!!

Is your friend unwilling to walk a few blocks for the perfect church?

All Souls in Woodley Park is in between the Woodley Park and Cleveland Park metros. I haven't attended since we moved over a decade ago, so I don't know what their young adult program looks like.

I actually wondered whether you meant the green line. If it makes you feel better, I went to UMD and still forget it’s on the green line not the red line! 😂
