Since the update calculations are confused. Been fed over a decade so I’m vested.
How much (minimum about of )money do I have to have in the account to be able to borrow the 50k max? There would is no loan the previous year. |

Log in your TSP account. On the top right, click on Loans. It will tell you your maximum available amount (up to $50,000).
To answer your question, to get the max $50k loan, your contributions and earnings (without matching) has to be $100k or more. |
