Found condom

I found an empty condom wrapper in my 11 year olds room. It’s the same kind of condoms I have at home for myself. I’m not sure if she just opened it out of curiosity or more is going on? How would you approach this? I’m really caught off guard.

What's with all the condom wrapper troll posts? Maybe get more creative.

When I was in college I bought a condom out of a vending machine just to see one.

I got one out of my dad's sock drawer when I was a kid and opened it to take a look then threw it away. Didn't get busted.

My sister got into my mom's box of maxipads and her Barbies went camping and used them as chaise longues/camping beds. She had no idea what they were for. This was hilarious.

Don't be too weird about this. It's a household supply.

If you ask about it, ask if they have any questions or need a book about "the birds and the bees". And tell them that 2 forms of BC are needed for best results.

You and your child’s other parent should ask your 11 year old …

I’d be concerned, too. Is there any male who may have been in her room - any age?
I would not leave her alone in house or at all until you have thought this through.

This is so annoying! Why would you think this is troll post? I’m

One time on a debate trip in high school people made water balloons with them.

But just talk to your kid, seriously.

Probably because there was a post last week where someone claimed to have found part of a condom wrapper in his wife's car. It is a weird thematic coincidence.

Some months ago I had to go to the ER and a friend picked her up from school and watched her for me til I got back home. This is the only time she’s ever been alone with a male who is not her father. I talk to her regularly about appropriate touch and that sort of thing. We talk a lot after that and I asked questions about how the babysitting went.

I suspect she was just curious about what a condom looks like. But it’s such a serious thing I want to make sure. I agree, no leaving her alone.

Probably just curious.

Love the Barbie chaise lounges!

I knew a woman from a large Catholic family. Her youngest sibling found the parents stash of condoms and poked holes thru one of them.
The result was a surprise baby.

Keep out of reach if children.

That seems extremely unbelievable.
