WW for Wegovy Pill

Anonymous
I have an online doc appointment with Weight Watchers for the wegovy pill. Anyone else just starting?

How did it go? Did you get the Rx? What are your monthly costs?

Not PP but I started in January and I have lost 2 lbs on the starter dose.

I just started it- got it from Ro. No side effects, but I am on the lowest dose to start. Didn't weigh myself because I am pms'ing (I tend to bloat and retain a ton of water). Will wait for my period to be over for my first weigh in.

It helped with the food noise almost immediately. For example, I ate about 70 percent of a lunch (I am the lick my plate type of eater) and then all of the sudden my brain said "stop". Didn't feel like I needed to finish nor wanted to. No pain, no nausea. No way to describe it. That alone is crazy for me because I think about food all day, always thinking about a snack or what my next meal will be.

The only thing is, I started to drink a beer and while I was full 1/4 in, I was also getting drunk. I assume because I wasn't eating as much as I used to. Probably will start with gummies if I want to have that buzzy feeling.

What did RO ask you to get a prescription? I’m perimenopause and feeling like I’ll never lose this weight.

Same here, except I am full on menopause and cannot lose the weight. Would love to hear more.

This is where I am and I'm pretty healthy eater but have weird food noise in perimenopause. I don't eat a lot but I want the carbs.

Are the side effects the same as the shot?

I’m the Ro poster. My actual doctor wouldn’t give me a prescription because I’m not obese. For a reference, I’m 5’4 and 140 and in my mid forties. I don’t feel comfortable and I can’t lose the weight. My happy weight is 125 and I would be happy with 130. I exercise and eat ok. This hormonal weight isn’t coming off.

I first inquired with Hers and they very quickly gave me a prescription for metaformin and topiramate. After a lot of googling, the side effects actually scared me. I went to Ro and got a prescription within a few of hours. No appointment, just a survey. I feel good. I’m only in my second week, no weight loss not that’s not expected until the next dose.

Sorry, not the next dose but when the dose increases. The pill is daily and the dose increases after a month

How much is it with Ro? I’m also looking to lose about 10-15 libs. I’m 51 and I can’t budge increasing abdominal weight.

I am same height and weight and my Dr. gave me a hard 'no' on prescribing. So Ro just doesn't care about starting weight and they prescribe regardless? In theory I would like to try Wegovy and the like but my Dr. gave a lot of good reasons not to (per Dr: no long term study, will gain back once you go off, side effects are for real) so I feel like I am in this place where I can't go on until I gain even more weight. I only want to do it under Dr. care.

I'm not PP, but I have been on it since early January. I have lost 4 lbs (went from 152-148) and am still on the starter dose. I was barely overweight and since I am still losing the clinician and I have decided to stay on the lowest dose. Side effects have been constipation and headache.

It's 149 for a monthly membership and 149 for the prescription per month. I do not use insurance.

Yeah, Ro just gives it to you which I know, is scary. But I've been asking my doctor for two years and she won't budge and neither will this weight.

It's been two and a half weeks- no side effects. I just eat a lot less and don't think about food. I make sure to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. I've lost about three pounds, which I know is water weight, but it's something.

I find it so weird how much I used to think about food to not thinking about it all. My kids wanted McDonalds the other day and I was truly satisfied with half of a kids cheeseburger and half of a small fry. Didn't and couldn't take another bite. This has never happened to me before- I mean, I would cut portions but think about the other half of the portion all day. Or cut a portion in half and convince myself I was still hungry and eat it.

This medication just makes me realize the food noise is real and I have been programmed to eat until I feel really full.
