What happened to Nightline?

Nightline started years ago on ABC to cover the Iran hostage story. They expanded on that by covering important news items of the day. Now it’s just another ET or morning news shows. Sad.

When is it even on? Can they compete with late night shows and so many other entertainment? Was much better when Koppel hosted.

Once they changed the format from a full 30 minutes for a story, it jumped the shark.

Fun fact: there was an episode about me once! Or at least half about me…my fight with a state legislator about his bill to require women to report miscarriages to the police within 24 hours. I was really proud of making a difference. Back in the hopeful days before Roe was overturned and fascists hadn’t taken over. Sigh.

It used to be on right after local news. Then when ABC gave Kimmel the 11:35 slot, they moved Nightline to 12:35. It was still good for awhile. A couple of years ago they had a whole week dedicated to repartitions. Now it’s fluff.
