What's good to buy at TJ's for parties?
Shu mai, dolmas...
Mini beef tacos. Top with shredded cheese right when they come out of the oven and serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole for dipping. Really really good. The chicken ones aren't as good.
The beef tacos are really good. This sounds gross, but I ate 3 pretty much every morning of my pregnancy for breakfast. Needed protein and they were all I could choke down first thing, even with severe morning sickness. They're that great.
That's quite the endorsement! I'm going to have to check them out. |
They have these little carmelized onion, cheese puff things. They come in a tray in a box in the freezer section and they are delicious!!!! I could eat the whole tin if they weren't too rich. Totally great appetizers for parties. I dont' love those little tacos as the other posters do, they are just ok to me.
Any of the frozen apps are a safe bet to get. The artichoke spinach dip is a staple to have on hand in my freezer. They have good prices on cheeses and nuts too. We like the pepper cashews and the honey seasame cashews.
Ohhhhh -- the caramelized onion and feta cheese puff things. SO good. I could eat the entire boxful.
Their food is disgustingl gross.
Artichoke spinach dip in the freezer section, hummus with veggies or pita chips, hot and mild salsa with tortilla chips, guacomole. They have a ton of other finger foods that I haven't tried, but I'd just buy a ton and try them all!
The Vegetable Bird Nest are great!
