Labubu, lafufu and lababies

DD keeps talking about these labubu, lafufu and lababies. I do not even think they are cute. I do not even understand why they are popular. Do they got sold off easily?

Beanie babies were at least cute and trolls were slightly endearing. The labubu is a scary species.

Last school year, Labubus would sell out. If you go into your local Popmart or similar Asian pop culture shop now, there are a million Labubus. Among my kids’ friends, they are still somewhat popular in that they bring them to school sometimes, but they are nowhere near the craze they were eight months ago.
