My sister had a child young and dropped out of high school during her senior year.
She ended up graduating high school via a correspondence course, then eventually went to earn her Masters degree many years later. However she is insecure about her HS diploma, she admits that she is embarrassed about graduating via a correspondence course and doesn’t tell anyone. Should she be? |

She should be very proud of herself.
What an accomplishment under the circumstances. Congratulations to her for becoming such a roll model for her child. |
| Today, there are different pathways to education. For example, cyber school and homeschooling. Both get degrees. Good for your sister for all her accomplishments. |
| No! She graduated HS. That's that. Now maybe do some community college or whatever. |
Ah, wait, she's got a masters. |

Correspondence courses were the predecessors ->>> to online learning.
That is all. So a correspondence high school diploma is just as good as one earned in person. An actual h.s. diploma is a step above a GED in fact. |
