Time to make a reservation, hire a babysitter, shop for a gift, order new lingerie!
You’re on your phone screwing around anyway. Just do it now .

I’m going to buy a nice bottle of bourbon and get a nice buzz on.

My boyfriend is buying me a very nice bracelet and a trip to Turks & Caicos.

Pretty sure I'm getting nothing but it's the way it is.

Adore me is populating my IG feed - am thinking I may buy something

Consumerism at its worst! I forbid my DH from getting me anything 😁 we’ll have a nice dinner at home and bottle of wine together though.

Stop being a curmudgeon. If you are at a point in your relationship where dinner with your spouse and a glass of wine is a special event and not a “good way to end a Tuesday,” then you REALLY need to go out.

Uh, yeah I remember that holiday! It’s the one right after thanksgiving, Christmas, my son’s birthday, new years, my other son’s birthday, my birthday and DH’s birthday on groundhogs day.

If we have money for a box of chocolate by then and if they save me any by the time I get home it’ll be a miracle

Valentine's Day is also my spouse's birthday. We stay home and cook his favorite dinner and make a cake.

I used to wait tables and I try to avoid the busy days (Valentine's Day, Easter Brunch and Mother's Day).

NP. I think that’s PP’s point…it’s not a special day for them.

OP,

What some women seem to prefer is to wait and do nothing so that when their husbands don't come up with whatever they wished for in their heads but didn't communicate, they can then have the great joy of being extremely upset and posting on DCUM about it.

Happens every year.

Case in point: a poster above said they were sure their husband would do nothing. And what are they doing or communicating? Nothing either.
