| Looking for recommendations for a weekend trip in February - 2 kids under 5, ideally less than 3 hours driving distance from DC. Would prefer a nice hotel with indoor pool option but not picky. Thanks! |

Do you want somewhere to experience winter, or somewhere that’s a nice break in winter (enjoying indoor activities?)
If the former, we had a great weekend at Blackwater Falls Park in VA, but you probably need to wait til kids are a little older. Tons of snow in the ground to play in, a huge sledding hill with a Magic carpet, you can rent snowshoes. The hotel is not fancy, but does have a pool (we rented a cabin, but you also get pool access with cabin rentals). |
| If you can handle the distance and the drive, the homestead is great but bring life jackets/swimmies. The indoor pool is amazing but deep. |
