Classes, camps, etc in Astronomy

| My 4th-grade DS loves Astronomy. He's deep into books, shows, videos, etc. Often way beyond what I can even follow. Are there any special classes, camps, etc., around the DMV where he could explore this further? Thanks! |

Fairfax County Parks Authority has "Astronomy Night" events roughly monthly in Great Falls area. These have larger telescopes so one can actually see - provided it is not cloudy.
Modest per person fee and advance registration are both required. |
