Snow Tubing -- Liberty Mtn or Snowriders?

| Group of 5th graders interested in going snow tubing. Which place would you recommend - Liberty (Bubly Park) or Snow Riders in Harper's Ferry? |

| I haven’t been to Liberty, but I took a 5th grader to snow riders last winter and it was fun and about an hour from where we live. |

We went to snow riders recently. It was fun and very easy. I’ve never done ski liberty so cannot compare.
We had full snow gear on but IMHO it was not necessary (but if it was really cold I would say wear for warmth, but you don’t really get any snow on you). |

| We were walking on snow at the bottom of the, so I think boots or something with a decent tread are useful. Hiking boots would work. But I agree with the previous poster. You’re not rolling in the snow, so as long as your warm, you probably won’t get too wet. |

| We went to Massanutten after new year's this year and I think for the full 90 minute session we got to go down the hill 5 times. You spend forever waiting in line at the top while they wait for all the lanes to clear before sending the next group. Haven't been to Liberty or Snow Rider's yet. Is it pretty much the same or better? Don't ever plan on doing Massanutten again. |

It wasn't too miserable because we had nice weather that day, but it certainly wasn't worth the drive. They sold way too many tickets for the number of lanes / attendants. |

We went to Snow Riders on New Years and also went for the full 90 minutes. They were sold out of tickets, and we went 8 times down the hill. There weren’t long lines at the top, it just took Arnie to get back up the hill. It did seem like they slowed down the magic carpet, but you were always moving. |
