All electric EV as college car

Anybody send DC to college with an EV? This obviously will depend across schools but wondering if it’s workable anywhere given parking constraints on any college campus. We are considering a great deal on an EV for DC who is a junior. But if it won’t work post high school, it’s a much worse deal given limited EV resale options.

I did. My son has an Equinox EV at college. He has free charging in his apartment parking garage. The question comes down to the availability of charging. Also, probably charger availability on the route to and from school. Use the PlugShare app or website to check for chargers at the university. Most universities seem to have pretty good coverage.

My other son just graduated but he also has an EV that he drove to college (he commuted). There were plenty of chargers in the parking garages, but sometimes they were full or ICE'd. He could normally just go to another garage.
