I had surgery recently and cannot wear a dress or shape wear (or heels).
I’m hoping I can get away with dressy black pants (wide leg/palazzo in satin/taffeta or velvet) with a black tuxedo style jacket or other dressy blazer plus dressy jewelry, flats, and clutch. I’ll just be one of 300-400 people at this event which I’ve never attended before, so I’m not sure how dolled up women will be. |
| OP if you're just an attendee I don't think people will be looking too closely or really care. What you're describing sounds very nondescript in a way that I don't think will stand out at this event. And you have good reason for wanting to be comfortable at this event. |
| oh yes absolutely. |
| Yes definitely. I bought myself a classic tuxedo with rhinestone buttons and have worn it repeatedly. I use black cloth not leather flats and a black clutch. |
